Many who consider becoming involved in Grace Church Women's Ministries fear that the church is just too big and and they will get lost in the crowds. Everyone will tell you the solution to this is to "get involved."
But where? When? How?
Just look below and you'll find many options where your gifts and interests will give you the chance to meet and serve with a wide variety of people, and before long, Grace Church won't seem so big after all. To receive more information as you consider volunteering in any of the following ministries, contact Sharon at 952-224-3021 or scritzer@atgrace.com.
Hospitality
Our Tuesday morning Bible studies run from September through May. Each Tuesday, we need someone to prepare coffee about ½ hour before the beginning of class and arrange the table that has been set up for treats. (Requires approximately ½ hour.)
After the study, we need someone to clean up the treat table, return items to storage, and rinse the coffee pots. (Requires about 15 minutes.)
Administration
The touch-screen computers need to be manned each Tuesday morning to facilitate check-in. Basic training is provided. (Requires 30-45 minutes prior to study.)
Caring Tree
The Caring Tree ministry is primarily set up to benefit the children of Grace Church families who have been deeply affected by family situations beyond their control such as loss of employment or under-employment, divorce or medical problems. This is a wonderful example of how the church ministers to others in the body. Many hands are needed to allow this ministry to succeed including crafters, coordinators, prayer warriors and servants. It is a great blessing to be able to serve your brothers and sisters in Christ during the Christmas season. (Organization will begin in the fall and commitment varies.)
Prison Worship Services at Shakopee Prison
There is a team of women who desire to share the Gospel message and love of Christ with the women in Shakopee Prison. They plan and conduct a worship service the 2nd Sunday of each month. During a typical Sunday service, there is worship through music, testimonies, Scripture messages and small group interaction. (Training is provided and commitment varies.)
