MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

MOPS is an international non-profit organization providing a Christ-centered, caring ministry for mothers of children aged birth through kindergarten. MOPS is about celebrating motherhood, meeting needs, making connections, and experiencing God's love through relationships and resources.
A typical MOPS meeting includes an informal time of treats and conversation followed by an instructional time. Subjects relating to womanhood, marriage, child-rearing, and relationships are presented from a biblical perspective. Small discussion groups provide honest interaction, deepening friendships, and spiritual enrichment.
We have two MOPS groups that meet on alternating Thursdays during the school year. MOPS meets in Room M211/M212 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. During the program, children are cared for in the fun and educational MOPPETS program.
Because we charge only a modest fee, we require each MOPS mom to:
- Volunteer in the MOPPETS childcare ministry two meetings each semester. This service occurs during the alternate MOPS group so you will NOT miss your MOPS time.
- Bring treats one time each semester.
- Assist with set-up, greeting, or clean-up one time per year.
Your fees cover all costs for both you and your child(ren). This includes an annual MOPS-to-Mom Connection subscription, childcare, crafts, special features, monthly newsletter and hospitality expenses.

Registration brochures may also be found on the Ministry Information Center walls near the entrances at Grace Church. If you would like to serve our children in a more significant way, you may attend "MOPS for Free" by serving regularly in the MOPPETS program during the alternate MOPS group from yours. This commitment is for the entire year. It depends on classroom size and approval. Indicate when registering if this is of interest to you.
