Welcome! ¡Bienvenidos!

Grace Church has the phenomenal opportunity to go Lima, Peru on July 22-31 and partner with our sister church in Callao. With over 200 people from Eden Prairie, MN going, we are excited to make a difference. We have been partnering with the Callao Church for over 17 years, and through this relationship have been so blessed by seeing thousands come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Thank you for partnering with us in reaching the people of Lima for the cause of Christ!

Grace Church goes to Lima Peru

When Grace Church began partnering with the church in Callao 17 years ago, the attendance was 71 people and now they are currently running over 2,000 during their Sunday morning services. This will be our third all-church trip, adding to the numerous mission teams that have served there throughout the years. The goals of the trip are three fold: 1) evangelism to various areas of Lima 2) partnership with Callao Church  3) invite the unsaved to the evening services so they can hear the Gospel message.

How will we be serving?

  • Medical/Dental Teams
There will be two medical teams – Dr. Michael Manoles will heading up the 8 person pacemaker team. They will be doing implant surgeries and teaching Peruvian doctors the procedures. A second medical team will be lead by Mary Edwards, a nurse in the Twin Cities. They will be at “outpost clinics” working with indigenous Peruvians who do not have easy access to healthcare. The dental team will be handing out bags of dental care supplies and treating those who do not have access to the dentist.
  • Youth
Pastor Nyke Gatlin will be taking over 60 staff and youth to join with the youth group at the Callao church. They will be ministering in prisons, parks, juvenile facilities through singing, and performing puppet shows.
  • Kids
The kids, with the oversight of Dara Mann and Jonathan Stone will be visiting orphanages, women’s prisons as well as performing circuses, face-painting, and giving puppet shows.
  • Music
Under the leadership of Pastor Brian Vaughan, the music teams will be singing and playing at the church and various places all over Lima. They will be part of events at the parks, hospitals, prisons, and especially at the church for the large nightly outreaches.
  • Outreaches
Our own Dustin Kelm, World Champion Unicyclist, will present a one of a kind performance sharing the power of life in Jesus Christ through inspirational and motivational messages illustrated with world-class unicycling set to high-energy music.

Also part of Grace Church, the Flom family who will share their famous illusions where people will see with their eyes these amazing tricks, but will also hear about how God can change their life.

There will also be a film outreach ministry during the evening to a variety of places presenting such filmas as the Jesus Film in Spanish. They will focus on the outlying area of Lima. In the evening they will be showing those films during the outreach nights at the church to those who accepted the invitation during the day.
