Nothing Is Too Hard for God
What a powerful night from an All-Powerful God. All the teams joined together for the rally at Athi River. How exciting it was to see nearly everyone out and about sharing their faith with the lost and praying for people during the pre-rally songs and performances. For several team members it was the first time they have gone out and shared Christ with the lost. They are now addicted! Once you taste the sweet joy of sharing Christ you can never do anything less. During that time 112 made first time decisions for Christ.
The worship team once again blessed the people with a few songs at the rally while the children's team joined in with a few songs. The crowd loved them both. Pastor Daniel then shared a message with life's most important question, "What Will You Do With Christ?" People were fixed as he preached with amazing fervor from the Lord. Many came forward to receive Christ and even more were led forward when team members were pleading with people to make decisions for Christ. It was beautiful to watch them walking humble souls to the front.
Highlighted Ministry: Vacation Bible School:
Children's Ministry: The VBS team is comprised of 17 passionate team members that have a true heart for children. Today the VBS team went on a road show in the Athi River district of Nairobi. They conducted 4 mega assemblies each with hundreds, if not over a thousand students each. They presented dramas, puppet shows, skits, and sang with the students. It was a little more heaven on earth as the VBS team led the children in songs to the Lord. The presence of the Holy Spirit was greatly felt as the little ones sang with all their hearts and team members danced with all their might before the Lord. The children were held speechless and still (miracle) as the puppet team shared the lesson. It was quite clear that God was speaking intimately to His children.
Other Ministry Updates:
Prayer Team: Every day the team silently walks the ministry venue seeking the face of God on behalf of the ministry. They do so in great faith knowing that their prayers are not in vain. The only known reward is watching what the Lord has placed upon their hearts come to fruition. A majority of the prayers they will not know what transpired till eternity as lives are changed and yet no one knowing why God stepped in a powerful way. Ministry would not be the same without them as well as the faithful prayers from those at home at Grace. They also plug in as needed in various ministries.
Administration: Major spiritual brownie points to the Admin team. They all worked even harder and longer- is that possible? From transportation to water bottle distribution, they do it all! Praise God, they were able to join the rest of the team for an incredible crusade at Athi River. They have been biting at the bit to be out with the people.
Cool Stories:
"The Machine" - that is what they call the table saw here in Kenya. Our first day here was kind of rocky because we had all our tools in the container and all of our lumber was delivered late. We had electrical problems with "the machine" but, our God is bigger than these problems! We hung out with the carpentry students and also have Bible studies first thing every morning. We all clicked right away - it is not every day you can play soccer in Kenya. The next day we fixed the electrical problems and our wood was delivered. We trained the carpentry students on safety precautions using "the machine" and then we started building. The work we did in one day with the table saw would have taken the carpentry kids about 1 week to finish - what a miracle! (Not to mention all the energy it waves the kids so they don't need as much food.) We utilized what we had and there is no problem bigger than our God! ~Carpentry Team
After our music program, I prayed with several young women who accepted Christ (maybe 3 or 4). I was then asked to pray for a 6-year-old girl with malaria and a mother and her daughter who were both HIV positive. This lady was a believer and needed encouragement. What an honor to be used of God as His instrument of healing. Before we left, I wept and prayed with a 14-year-old girls who cared for orphans. I will never forget these experiences and am grateful for God's boldness to step out of my comfort zone. ~ Music Team
It was such an honor to be used by God tonight. Before the rally several of us went to the street on the periphery to share Christ. I started talking with one young man and within a minute there was a group of 12-15 men standing around listening to the Gospel. After we reviewed the prayer to accept Christ, I asked if anyone wanted to receive him. No one would answer but I could feel and see the Holy Spirit working on them. So I started laying a hand on each man and asked if they wanted to receive Christ individually. Every single one prayed to accept Christ!
Depopulating Hell- Decisions for Christ:
- Door to Door: 18 decisions for Christ in the morning. 18 decisions for Christ in the afternoon.
- Music team: 28 decisions for Christ in the day assemblies. They ministered to over 700 people through out the day.
- Prayer Team: 12 decisions (they do more than prayer)
- VBS: six children gave their hearts to Christ.
- Pre-rally: 112 decisions made for Christ.
- Rally: 30 people came forward to make decisions for Christ.
