Grace Church

Excitement mounts all year long as the people at Grace Church anticipate the Fall Missions Festival. We are not a church with a missionary program, we are a missionary church! Grace Church Missions Festival is a time of God's people coming together to celebrate what God has done during the past year through our missionary force of over 85 family units around the world and in our 13 strategic sister church relationships. It is also a time of looking forward to what we are trusting God to do, by faith, in the coming year.

We support nationals and missionaries in scores of countries on almost every continent of the earth. Our involvement spans the spectrum of missions enterprise including evangelism and discipleship, church planting, radio ministry, literature distribution, Bible translation, medical missions, working with urban poor, working with Bible seminaries to prepare Christian workers, and missionary aviation.

The backbone of our Missions program is the support of those whom God has called to full-time ministry. We first want to train and equip them, and then support them both personally and in their ministry. The missions and outreach department not only coordinates Grace Church missionary efforts throughout the world, but also provides pastoral care and encouragement to this worldwide congregation.

Grace Church support of missionaries takes many forms, including financial support, housing while in the Twin Cities, field visits by our senior pastor and missions and outreach pastor, prayer commitments through our Adult Bible Fellowships, and regular communication.

On an ongoing basis, we identify suitable candidates for missionary service and mobilize these persons for service. As candidates meet educational, ministry, and spiritual maturity requirements, we provide financial support and encourage appointment to a missions agency that falls within the guidelines of our philosophy and strategy.

Our Grace Church family also gets "hands-on" experience through the many short-term trips that are sent out each year. Most often working "shoulder to shoulder" with our sister churches, our teams work in door-to-door and park evangelism, VBS and children's outreaches, medical work--both preventative and as medical professionals, micro enterprise, pastoral development, prison ministry, and more.
