Block Out Hunger

Thank you for your interest in the Grace Church Block Out Hunger food drive. Contributions of food and hygiene products will be distributed to Trinity Mission (a food shelf for the homeless and working poor in the inner city), PROP of Eden Prairie, and other food shelves in the metro area.

Collection bags are available at Grace Church starting April 27, ‘08. Please take packets of bags and distribute them throughout your neighborhood, indicating on the instructional note stapled to the front when you will return to pick them up.
If you have missed your 2008 neighborhood pick-up, please bring your donation to Grace Church at 9301 Eden Prairie Road.
There will be a truck located outside Door #4 on:
- Sundays May 4, 11, and 18 from 9:00 a.m. - Noon
- Wednesdays May 7, 14 and 21 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
You can also leave your filled grocery bag(s) inside Door #4 at the Welcome Center from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday during the drive.
Over the past 3 years, our students collected 40,000 -75,000 cans each year, and with your help, we hope to collect 100,000 non-perishable food items. Contributions of non-perishable food items or hygiene products will be distributed to Trinity Mission, P.R.O.P. of Eden Prairie, and other food shelves in the metro area.
"Thanks to Grace Church, we were able to stock our shelves for the whole summer!" - Trinity Mission
"The Grace Church family gave us the largest amount of food we have ever received from a single food drive."
- Emergency Food Network
If you are able to donate food, please check the expiration date on all donated products. It is unlawful for food shelves to distribute expired or dented goods. They can be fined and must pay for disposal of unusable food items.
