Happy Spring, Dear Sisters!

At least that’s what the calendar says.  I just know we’ll be so appreciative of the days of spring and summer after this long winter.

And it’s great to be able to let you know of everything that’s planned for summer.  A list of our Bible study offerings will follow but I wanted to let you know about two special dates so that you can mark your calendar now.

Saturday,August 16
9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Spend a Day With the King

Our second annual one-day women’s Prayer Summit will be a perfect way to wrap up your summer.  Last year our one-day Prayer Summit proved to be the highlight of the summer for many women. Don't miss it! Join with other women from Grace and the surrounding area for a time of worship, prayer and silence on a day specially set apart for you to slow down and enjoy His presence. We will begin our day with praise and end with a special communion service.

Wednesday, August 20, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Women’s Ministries Expo
Here's your chance to see the fall offerings of Women's Ministries up close and personal. Come for coffee and dessert and preview the studies and events that will be offered in the new ministry year. You'll have a chance to hear from and talk with those who'll be leading the studies and the different ministry events, look at the study books and register on the spot if you like.

And then we have our Summer Bible Studies.

All studies will be on Wednesdays during the summer.  There will be no classes during VBS week, June 16-20.  Register online beginning April 15.

AM  Studies – 7 Sessions, June 4 – July 23, 2008, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

  • God’s Vision: Our Reflection - Live Teacher and Discussion Group
    JoAnn Becklund and Ann Renfroe
As Christians, there are many good things we can do. But it is easy to be “busy” without a clear vision of what really matters. We have a need to capture God’s vision for our lives. In this study we’ll look at selected scriptures that show us what God sees, hears, and remembers--giving us a glimpse of His vision for the world and for us. We’ll study how Jesus fulfilled God’s vision and seek to make God’s vision our own. Join us in becoming a reflection of God’s vision to a broken world. Teaching and discussion group format with take-home lessons.

  • Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent -  Beth Moore’s Newest
This study explores Psalms 120–134 and engages participants in unique opportunities for personal reflection and worship while exploring the background and writer of each Psalm.  Traveling pilgrims sang these psalms both on the way to the great festivals of the Jews and as key elements of the worship at those festivals. Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope, and joy, these 15 psalms model how study participants can voice their own petitions and praises to our God and thus grow in their intimacy with God.

PM Study – 10 Weeks, May 14 – July 23, 2008, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

  • Believing God  - A Beth Moore Study
Drawing from the "Heroes of the Faith" in Hebrews 11, this study examines the lives of Abraham, Moses and others who believed God. Through their examples, Beth encourages women to deepen their own trust in God and receive a fresh word from Him as together you explores what it means to know and truly believe God. This powerful resource will lead participants to a more active, living faith.

PM Studies – 7 Weeks, June 4 – July 23, 2008, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

  • Restore My Heart – Denise Glenn
Explore God's Word in this penetrating six-week Bible study about Christ's love for you and His invitation to become His bride.  In this study you’ll find out how these eternal truths are beautifully illustrated for today’s women in the ancient Jewish customs and wedding traditions.  Receive healing and restoration as you bring your heart to the One who made the ultimate sacrifice for His bride, the Church.

  • He Speaks to Me – Priscilla Shirer
By listening to God's voice and obeying Him, you will be drawn into a closer relationship with Him and ultimately a deeper desire to serve Him faithfully.  Priscilla Shirer, the daughter of Tony Evans and a popular writer and speaker, draws life lessons from the account of God speaking to the boy Samuel. In this beloved Bible story, she relates six characteristics found in Samuel that are applicable to women today as they tune their hearts to hear God's voice. These characteristics are: A Simple Relationship, A Set Apart Holiness, A Still Attentiveness, A Single-Minded Worship, A Sold Out Hunger, and A Servant's Spirit.
