Overview
Grace Church has an active seniors group for adults 55+ called Torchbearers. Our "Thursday Gathering" meets weekly at 10:00 a.m. for singing, special music, educational videos, featured speakers, and an inspirational talk. This program is followed by a delicious meal together. Once a month we take a field trip to interesting sites around the metro area.
We also have several Adult Bible Fellowships that meet on Sunday mornings, weekly Bible Studies for men and women, an outreach choir, and more!
Our Torchbearers Choir ministers in the spring and fall to Senior Care facilities and performs for church-wide programs.
Our annual events include 3-day and 8-day motor coach tours, our "Salute to Veterans" program, the very popular Old Fashioned Hymn Sing, and the Christmas Gathering.
The Torchbearers Mission Statement:
To make a difference in the lives of those 55+ by providing nurture, avenues of interaction and outreach, opportunities to utilize gifts, and declaring God's power and love to succeeding generations.
