Grace Works Community Dinner & Clothing Closet
Grace Works (the Compassion Ministries at Grace Church) seeks to help meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the community around us.
We hold a free community dinner and clothing closet 
on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays
of most months.

Dinner is from 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
and the clothing closet is available after the meal.
Volunteering
We need volunteers to serve in various roles:
Thursday dinner/clothing volunteers: Various roles on 1st or 3rd Thursdays, including table partners, greeters, food servers, and clothing helpers. Hours range from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (hours vary with role).

Clothing sorters: We can take sorting volunteers any time the building is open! To join in, contact Erin at egeske@aol.com. Come as your schedule allows, either when others are already sorting, or make your own time with friends, family, or as a small group service project.
Clothing & Diaper Donations
Each month families in need receive the gift of free diapers through the Clothing Closet. We must receive around 800 donated diapers a month in order to provide for these families. The greatest need is for sizes 5 and 6, however all sizes are needed (as well as pull-ups and wipes). If you have a young one who has outgrown a size before you finished a package, we accept partial packages as well.
At this time our clothing area is full, so we are not accepting clothes donations. However, we are still accepting diapers, linens, and shoes.
Donations may be dropped off at church on:
- The first Sunday of each month, before and after each morning worship service.
All donations need to be brought to the drop-off located at the bottom of the stairs on the Garden level (Door 4 side of the building).
We want to offer quality clothing to our clothing closet guests. You can help by making sure the clothing you donate follows these standards:
- Wearable in the current season only (i.e. sweaters in the winter, shorts in the summer). Please do not bring off-season items as we have no space to store them.
- Of current fashion
- Gently used or new (please check that there are no rips, holes, broken zippers, or missing buttons)
- Stain-free
We also accept shoes, linens (bedding, towels, etc.), and disposable diapers.
We are unable to accept the following:
- Used undergarments, swimwear, socks, or pajamas.
- T-shirts or sweatshirts with logos that are specific to an event or organization.
- Any other items that aren't clothing, shoes, linens, or diapers. For information on donating other items to another Grace Works ministry, click here.
